Description
Betaine anhydrous, or TMG (Trimethylglycine) is known to facilitate methylation processes. Methylation is a normal biological process that is critical for DNA repair, liver detoxification mechanisms, lipid metabolism, and the production of SAMe. It is also an important step in the conversion of homocysteine, a damaging amino acid, into a friendlier amino acid, methionine. Supplementation with TMG has been shown in clinical and non-clinical studies to support healthy homocysteine levels already within the normal range.
Features of Now TMG
Betaine is involved in the methylation process, which is a biochemical reaction that occurs in the body
Betaine has been shown to support liver function and promote liver health. It may help maintain healthy liver enzyme levels and support the livers detoxification processes.
High levels of homocysteine are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. By supporting normal homocysteine levels, betaine may contribute to heart health.
Betaine is involved in the synthesis of important neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine. These neurotransmitters play a role in mood regulation and cognitive function.
